How to Stop Promotional SMS

There is good news for you if you hate the irritating advertising messages that carriers send out all day long, sometimes even well past midnight.

The "Do Not Disturb" or "DND" service has been made available by the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), allowing users to block messages sent by operators marketing their goods and services.

Ironically, despite the fact that this service is not new, many individuals are unaware of it owing to a lack of exposure and awareness. As a result, the commission began releasing information about the program to the media on Saturday.

Grameenphone:

1. To activate DND service dial *121*1101#
2. To deactivate DND service dial *121*1102#
3. To check the DND service status dial *121*1103#

Robi/Airtel:

• To stop the Airtel & Robi promotional messages dial *7# & Reply 2(Off).
• To get the Airtel & Robi promotional messages dial *7# & Reply 1(On).

Teletalk:

• To off Teletalk promotional SMS Dial *155*1#
• To get Teletalk promotional SMS Dial *155*2#

Banglalink:

• To stop the Banglalink promotional messages dial *121*8*6# & follow the instructions
  or Type “OFF” & Send to 6161. 
• To get the Banglalink promotional messages dial *121*1102# & follow the instructions
  or Type “On” & send to 6161.
